With 100 years of experience in refractory metals, H.C. Starck Solutions focuses exclusively on refractory products from molybdenum, tungsten, tantalum, and alloys such as Lanthana-doped molybdenum and TZM. Exhibiting a combination of properties ideally suited for superior performance at temperatures between 1100°C-2000°C+, our materials offer exceptional mechanical strength and stability, no outgassing or particle generation along with other specific properties required for optimized processing of critical parts.
Fabricating Products with Refractory Metals
There are two main components at the heart of all our products: a strong team of material science experts and specialized engineers resulting in products made from exceptional quality refractory metals designed to exceed the toughest and most complex process conditions. We practice a partnership approach working with our customers to identify optimum solution for longer equipment lifetime and maximum process throughput. We offer 3 levels of engineering support:
- Basic: 2D basic drawing layout with heating element calculations
- Proof: 3D/2D drawing, sheet selection and heating element calculations
- Modelling: full finite element modelling (FEM/CFD) of intended or current design and analysis of results
